Tara Is Dancing In Ohio
Tara Is Dancing In Ohio
WELCOME TO THE YOUNGSTOWN TARA DHATU COMMUNITY!
We have been making monthly Tara dance offerings in this community on an ongoing basis since May of 2004! The group is comprised of an interesting amalgamation of folks of varied ages, classes and walks of life. There is a committed core group of practitioners who come on a regular basis. Others drop by as they feel called to.
Currently we have 3 student-teachers in this community:
Julie Thomas at Level 3, Bailey at Level 2 and Danna Bozick at Level 1
The purpose and intention of the monthly Tara dance offerings is multifold:
•To awaken and embody the innate wisdom, compassion and skillful means that lie dormant within each one of us through this practice
•To recognize how to use these qualities as challenging situations in our lives emerge
•To empower and assist others to recognize these qualities in themselves
•To promote a sense of harmony, compassion and cooperation in the community by bringing together diverse groups.
•To celebrate the universal qualities of love, wisdom, compassion and peace.
Through this monthly offering we pray that the vision of “one world one people” wherein people learn to live and work with each other with open hearts and clear minds with the purpose of benefitting one and another becomes a reality!
Please feel free to join us whenever you feel called to – there are no prerequisites to participate!
We will also be happy to facilitate Tara Dance offerings in your community. Please contact Julie Thomas at jethomas@ysu.edu if you are interested.
