To Whom It May Concern:

His Holiness the XVIth Gyalwa Karmapa was very interested in "bridges" between East and West in the expression of the
Buddhadharma.

The Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara as taught by Ms. Prema Dasara is an excellent vehicle for making the Dharma
tangible to the community in general.

It is my hope that the young people of Rumtek will have the opportunity to learn the dance and to join with dancers trained in
the West to offer to His Holiness the XVIIth Gyalwa Karmapa at the time of His Enthronement.

The children's dances of Manjushri, Guru Rinpoche, etc. provide a vehicle for them to learn spiritual values.

It is my wish that they will also be able to participate in the Enthronement celebrations.
